New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has begun accepting applications for commissioned officers in the flying and ground duty branches.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited online applications for courses beginning in July 2022 for the award of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.
Online applications are also being accepted for the grant of PC/SSC for the NCC Special Entry Scheme (for the flying branch) and Meteorology Entry.

Registration for online applications began on June 1 and will end on June 30.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen as defined by the Indian Citizenship Act of 1955.
Age: As of July 1, 2022, the age limit for Flying Branch is 20 to 24 years (born between July 2, 1998, to July 1 2002). However, for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by the DGCA (India), the upper age limit is relaxed to 26 years.
As of July 1, 2022, the age limit for Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches is 20 to 26 years.
I Flying Branch Educational Qualifications Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50 percent marks in Math and Physics at the 10+2 level.
(a) Graduation from a recognised university with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline and a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(b) A four-year BE/B Tech degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% or equivalent.
(c) Candidates who have passed Section A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
