Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will interact with students and clear their doubts ahead of the Class 10, 12 board exams tomorrow.

New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will interact with students on social media on Friday, answering questions about the cancelled class 10 and 12 board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nishank, who is being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for post-COVID complications, said students have been sending him messages with their concerns and questions.

“Dear pupils, I am constantly bombarded with your messages and information. You’ve also expressed concern about my health. For this, I would like to thank everyone and say that I am feeling better now,” he tweeted.

“Some of your concerns have been expressed in your messages as well. However, due to the ongoing treatment in the hospital, I was unable to communicate with you. If you have any other questions about the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams, please contact me via Twitter, Facebook, or email “In a series of tweets, Nishank stated.

The Union Minister stated that he will respond to students’ questions via social media on June 25 at 4 p.m.

The CBSE cancelled exams for both classes 10 and 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For both classes, the board has announced its alternative assessment policy. While schools have until June 30 to submit class 10 grades, the deadline for collecting class 12 grades is July 15.

According to the board’s policy for class 12 results, the theory paper evaluation formula of 30% weightage will be given to class 10 marks, 30% weightage to class 11 marks, and 40% weightage to class 12 marks obtained in unit test/mid-term/pre-board examinations.

The CBSE scheme goes on to say that for class 10, 30% of the marks will be based on the average theory component of the best three performing subjects out of the main five subjects.

According to the evaluation criteria announced for class 10 students, while 20 marks will be assigned to each subject for internal assessment, 80 marks will be calculated based on the students’ performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.
