Bengaluru: With the Karnataka state government issuing new guidelines for the opening of malls and shopping complexes on Monday (July 5), mall and shopping complex owners in the state are preparing to open their doors to customers while adhering to COVID-19 protocols.
Nandish, the CEO of Garuda Mall, told ANI, “Sanitation is performed twice daily, masks are available for customers, and only vaccinated individuals are permitted. We will adhere to all protocols.
“Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced further relaxations of the state’s existing COVID-19 restrictions on Saturday, including allowing government offices to reopen at full working capacity and allowing public transportation, including the Metro, to begin operations with full seating capacity on Monday.
The night curfew will remain in effect from 9.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m., but the weekend curfew (from 7 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday) has been lifted, according to state government orders.
The new relaxations and restrictions announced by the Karnataka government today will be in effect for the next 15 days in the state.
