The prime minister’s birthday greetings to Singh on Twitter come after a lengthy period of time during which he had refrained from sending out birthday wishes to anyone else. He did, however, remember some notable personalities who are no longer alive on the occasions of their birth anniversaries.
Another group of senior leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda, sent birthday greetings to the former party leader.
He has made a significant contribution to the strengthening of the party through his organisational abilities, according to Shah.
In his speech, Nadda stated that he is well-known for his pleasant demeanour and strong ties with party members, and that his immense contribution to the party, dedication to the nation, and organisational skills are inspiring to others.
Singh, who was born in 1951 in Uttar Pradesh, has been associated with the RSS and the BJP from an early age, and has progressed through the party’s ranks over the course of several decades, while working at various organisational levels.
He also served as a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee administration and as the chief minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
