India sees a slight increase in the number of daily COVID-19 cases, and 38,792 new infections are recorded.

New Delhi: According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday (July 14, 2021) morning, India saw a slight increase in daily COVID-19 cases and added 38,792 new infections in the previous 24 hours.

In addition, 624 new coronavirus-related deaths occurred in the country, with 41,000 recoveries recorded. Because of this, the total number of cases in India has risen from 3 million 46 thousand 714 to 3 million 46 thousand 744. Of these, 3 million 04 thousand 720 people have recovered, while 4 million 408 people have died as a result of the virus.

The country currently has 4,29,946 active cases, with daily new infections continuing to show a decline during the second wave of the epidemic in the country.

During the two-day period between Monday and Tuesday, India added 31,443 new infections, the lowest single-day increase in 118 days.

Between May 5 and May 11, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that the average daily new cases had decreased from 3,87,029 cases to 40,841 cases between July 7 and August 13.

As part of the COVID-19 situation briefing on Tuesday, Dr VK Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog, stated that the world is currently experiencing the third wave of COVID-19. Also stated was that Rs 23,123 crore from the India COVID-19 emergency package, which has been approved, is to be used for ICU beds, the creation of paediatric units, the addition of hospital beds, the installation of liquid medical oxygen storage tanks, and the addition of additional ambulances.
