In an effort to channel his inspiration from Mirabai Chanu’s historic victory at the Tokyo Olympics, Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff gave fans powerlifting goals during a cardio workout on Sunday. He lifted 140 kgs and performed barbell front squats as part of his cardio workout.
Tiger Woods shared a photo of his strenuous workout on his Instagram account, as well as his admiration for the silver medalist. With his back to the camera, he appeared in the video wearing a pale blue hoodie that was belted at the waist and a pair of black tights.
Keeping his feet shoulder-width apart in front of a rack bar while sweating it out, the ‘Baghi’ actor stood barefoot in front of a mirror as he worked out. Tiger lifted his elbows forward while holding a barbell against his collar bone with his hands. Tiger kept his wrists facing forward and his palms facing upwards to allow his elbows to lift forward.
Tiger wrote the following in the caption: “140 kilogrammes and still counting…
Thanks to #mirabaichanu, I’ve been inspired to become stronger and push myself beyond my comfort zone. What an outstanding performance! Cheer on the Indian team! #tokyoolympics.” India’s star weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu stole the show on Day One of the ongoing Tokyo Olympics, as she became the first Indian to win a medal in the Women’s 49kg category, putting the country on the map for the first time.
During her four successful attempts across the competition, Chanu lifted a total of 202 kg (87 kg in snatch and 115 kg in clean and jerk) for a total of 202 kg. Tiger has completed the first schedule of filming for the sequel to his 2014 debut film, ‘Heropanti,’ which is currently in post-production.
The film ‘Heropanti 2’ is scheduled to be released on December 3rd of this year. In addition to Tiger, Tara Sutaria will also appear in the sequel as the lead character. Ahmed Khan is directing the film, which follows Tiger’s most recent release, ‘Baaghi 3’, which he also directed. The music for the film will be composed by A R Rahman, and the lyrics will be written by Mehboob Khan. Tiger also has a promising filmography ahead of him, with films such as ‘Baaghi 4’ and ‘Ganpath,’ in which he will co-star with Kriti Sanon, in the works.
