On the 21st anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, which was observed on July 26, many Bollywood celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Anushka Sharma, among others, paid tribute to the country’s martyrs.

Ajay Devgn recited the entire poem Sipahi, which he shared on his Twitter handle, and wrote, “A heartfelt tribute to the Indian brave hearts!” #Sipahi..”

Sipahi’s beautiful poem was well received by his fans and industry colleagues. But it was Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s remark that drew everyone’s attention.

He became so moved by the poem that he mistook it for one written by Ajay himself and shared it on Twitter, writing, “I’m not very expressive when it comes to emotions in real life.” But this brought me to tears. @ajaydevgn, I had no idea you were such a gifted poet. “Kis Kis baat pe dil jeetoge yaar?”

Later, when Akki realised that the poem was not written by Ajay but by Manoj Muntashir, he thanked him in another post and apologised, writing, “Just got to know that the words of the very moving poem are by the amazingly talented @manojmuntashir.” @ajaydevgn narrates..”

Manoj responded quickly, tweeting, “Whatever little talent I have, I will always be grateful to you @akshaykumar sir, for letting me write for you time and again.” I’m glad @ajaydevgn sir is narrating #Sipahi so well and that it’s already touching millions of people’s hearts. More power to our troops.”

Soon after their tweets, Ajay Devgn responded, writing, “Thank you Akki @akshaykumar for the nicest words on my ‘poetic’ side.” It feels good to be praised, especially when it comes from a friend and respected colleague.
I should also thank @manojmuntashir for the poetry —Sipahi..”

Ajay is currently working on Abhishek Dudhaiya’s war drama Bhuj: The Pride of India, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Nora Fatehi. The film, set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, is set to be released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 13, 2021.

Ajay recently announced the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit ‘Naandhi.’ Ajay and Dil Raju will appear in the courtroom drama.

On the other hand, Akshay has a number of highly anticipated films in the works, including ‘Sooryavanshi,’ ‘Raksha Bandhan,’ ‘Prithviraj,’ ‘Bell Bottom,’ ‘Ram Setu,’ and ‘Bachchan Pandey.’
