MUMBAI: As the ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations began on Friday, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to wish everyone a happy Ganesh Chaturthi.
Madhuri Dixit, the actress, posted a video reel on her Instagram account of herself praying to Lord Ganesha on the set of her dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane.’ “Tumha sarvanna ani tumacya parivarala ganesa caturthinimitta hardika subheccha…!!!” she captioned the video. (Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to all of you and your families…!!!)
“The mood while welcoming Bappa home is more meditative this year, but it’s always a special feeling,” Sonali Bendre wrote.
Actor Ajay Devgn shared a photo of his Lalbaug Darshan in Mumbai. He captioned the post as follows: “Lord Ganesha is the bringer of all good things, including peace, prosperity, progress, happiness, and health. Let us join our hands in prayer today to welcome our favourite deity. Bappa Morya Ganpati Ganpati Bappa Morya Ganpati Bappa Morya Gan”
Shefali Jariwala posted a photo of a Ganesha idol with the caption, “Bappa aaye hamare ghar.”
On Twitter, veteran actor Hema Malini also wished Ganesh Chaturthi to his fans and followers. “It’s that time of year when we welcome our beloved Ganeshji into our homes, hoping for his abundant blessings. This God of understanding and knowledge visits our homes for ten days, encouraging community and happiness in society. Kajol, the Bollywood diva, shared a stunning photo of herself on Twitter. The actor looked stunning in a yellow Paithani saree with matching jewellery. She tweeted about the photo, saying, “We are overjoyed to welcome the ‘Vighnaharta.’ #HappyGaneshChaturthi.”
Actors Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu, and Karan Johar, among others, sent their best wishes to their fans and followers on the occasion.
According to Kaushal Tandon, “May Lord Ganesha, the Vighnaharta, bless you with love, peace, abundance, and good health. On this holy day of Samvatsari, I beg forgiveness from anyone I have ever offended with my words or actions. Ganpati Bappa Morya, whether knowingly or unknowingly! The celebrations started on September 10 and will end on September 21. The festivities will conclude with the Visarjan, or final immersion of the Ganesha idols. The festival is widely celebrated in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat, among other states.
